The Vice chancellor University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Egbewole, has commitment towards fostering innovation, building lasting partnership and driving sustainable growth for the future of the university. Professor Egbewole, stated this while speaking at the inauguration of University Advancement Board, in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital. He said the vision of the university is to strive for excellence and be a global leader in education,

The vice chancellor explained that the membership of the university advancement board was carefully chosen by putting into consideration the value of integrity, excellence, courage and commitment of the appointees. Professor Egbewole appealed to the board members to work towards repositioning the university and ensure it’s systems and processes are improved upon. He urged the alumni association to key into the idea in order to give back to the university that produce them, adding that they should shun all acts that are capable of painting the university in bad light. In his remarks the Chairman University of Ilorin Advancement Board, Dr. Abdulwahab Ibrahim said a strategy would be developed to ensure the actualisation of their mandate. He thanked the managements of the university for giving them the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the institution.
