The Niger State Government is to build houses for Internally Displaced Persons in the State.
Governor Mohammed Bago made this known at Gwada Internally Displaced Persons Camp, Shiroro Local Government Area of the State.
According to the Governor, the relocation of the IDPs from the public schools where they are camped is enable the resumption of academic activities in the school.
He pointed out that though many communities have been liberated from bandits attack, the proposed new settlements would improve the socio-economic status of the IDPs.

Governor Bago used the platform to appealed for calm and support to the development policies of the Federal, State and Local Governments.
He observed that no government would initiate policies with the intent of implicting pains and hardship on the people.
He said as part of his new Niger Agenda, contract for the construction of road from the popular Maraban Dandaudu junction in Munya to Gwada town in Shiroro and from Gwada to Kuta would be awarded.
The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District Sani Musa said the Governor’s inspection tour was an indication that all the projects embarked upon by the State Government would be completed on schedule.
