Kwara State Government has set up a Task Force on advertising and signage restructuring to enhance the state’s aesthetics and ensure public safety.
The state commissioner for Communications, Bolanle Olukoju who stated this at the inauguration of the Task Force in Ilorin, said the initiative would also standardize outdoor advertising within and outside the metropolis.
She noted that the effort would modernize the state and ensure compliance with global best practices in advertising.
Olukoju explained that the taskforce will oversee a structured enforcement of advertising and signage regulations.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry of Communications, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammed, assured the public that all enforcement activities will be carried out professionally in the best interest of the state’s development.
