Socioeconomic activities will soon receive a boost on Kuje Area Council of the FCT as President Bola Tinubu’ has approved the construction of Kuje to Pegi and Kuje to Kwaku roads in addition to several other ongoing projects in the area.
The Minister of FCT, Mr Nyeson Wike made this known in Kuje Abuja during the official commissioning of the newly constructed Kuje – Garage Road.
During the commissioning, the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike said President Bola Tinubu has also committed #50bn to water project for the satellite towns in this year’s budget, in line with his promise to give priority attention to the development of rural areas to reduce rural- urban migration.
The Minister who gave indication that the FCT Administration can justify the taxes being collected in the territory, stated that every responsibile Government owe Taxpayers explanation.
He therefore urged tax payers and all those owning ground rents and CofOs to pay their taxes and ensure they hold Government accountable on what their taxes are spent on.
Some residents of the area most especially motorists and okada riders commended the FCT Administrstion for the road project
Earlier, the Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo who called for FCTA’s intervention in portable water supply and construction of Kwaku and Pegi road, described infrastructural projects in the area within the last 17 months as a welcomed development.
The Council Chairman also confirmed that work on the awarded dualisation of Kuje to Gwagwalada road construction had also commenced
