In Nasarawa State, police have uncovered a kidnappers’ hideout and successfully rescued three victims in Gitata village, Karu Local Government Area.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, revealed that a commercial vehicle carrying three passengers—a woman and two men—was attacked along the Keffi-Kaduna highway, with the occupants forcibly taken into the bush.
Acting on this information, Divisional Police Officer SP Zaks Wambai mobilized officers to the scene. The operatives combed the area, dislodging the kidnappers from their hideout and rescuing the victims unharmed.
State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended the officers for their swift and diligent response, ensuring the safe rescue of the victims. He also urged all security agencies to intensify efforts in combating criminal activities across the state.
