A combined team of operatives of the Kwara state Police command and the Nigerian Army Forward Operation Base (FOB), Egbe, Kogi state has arrested a notorious and suspected kidnapper, Mohammed Bello aka Dandolo.
In a statement by the state command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, says that the arrest was made possible following an actionable intelligence received from Egbe, Kogi state, indicating that the suspect had fled to Patigi, Kwara state, to evade arrest.
The statement explains that Mohammed Bello is suspected to have been involved in a series of kidnapping operations in Egbe, Isanlu, and surrounding areas in Kogi state.
It says upon receiving the information, the command immediately deployed a surveillance team to track the suspect’s movements”.
The statement stresses that thorough search of various locations were carried out, including hotels in Patigi, Kwara state but the suspect was eventually, apprehended at an undisclosed location.
The statement affirms that the operation was carried out in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Forward Operation Base (FOB) in Egbe, Kogi state, led by Lieutenant Isah.
It notes that the suspect has been transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Ilorin for further investigation.

Egbe road in Kwara state and also kidnap incidents along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
