Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has disbursed the sum of 1.5 billion to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and other traders affected by the flood disaster in the state.
Speaking during the flag-off exercise in Gombe, the governor emphasised his administration’s commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the state.
He said that the intervention fund was part of the government’s efforts to provide a safety net for those affected by the floods and empower them to rebuild their lives.
The governor announced that 10,000 beneficiaries have been identified for the intervention, including members of MSME associations, the physically challenged and other vulnerable groups.
He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds, stressing that it was not just an opportunity to recover but also a chance to grow stronger and become more resilient.
Alh. Inuwa Yahaya reiterated his administration’s commitment to attracting more interventions, implementing policies that support business growth, and creating an environment where every citizen can thrive.
