In a bid to support education for vulnerable groups, the Kano State Accountability Forum on Education (KSAFE) has donated over 1,000 textbooks to orphans and vulnerable children in the State.
The donation, which took place at the Murtala Muhammad Library, is an annual program aimed at promoting education among vulnerable children.
Co-chair of KSAFE, Dr. Auwalu Halilu emphasized the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and improving the future prospects of vulnerable children.
“Education is a right that every child deserves,” he said.

He stressed that the Initiative is part of KSAFE’s efforts to ensure that education remains accessible to every child, regardless of their background.
“The forum considered various factors, including economic status and overall need, to ensure that the textbooks reached those who needed them most”
Dr. Halilu called on non-governmental organizations and community leaders to support education initiatives in Kano State, complementing the state government’s efforts to enhance the education sector.
