Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu says her Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, under its Education Programme in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, will build an Alternative High School for Girls in Kwara State.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu stated this while inaugurating the RHI Community ICT Centre built in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, at the Kwara State University of Education premises in Ilorin.

The first lady stressed that this will provide another opportunity to access education for girls and women who dropped out of school due to early pregnancies, child marriages and other socio-economic reasons.
She said that the centre named AMINA NDALOLO COMMUNITY ICT CENTRE is second to be commissioned out of those constructed across the country with the aimed of bridging digital gap across the nation.
The first lady acknowledged that the initiative was in line with the priority area of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to accelerate economic diversification through industrialisation and digitalisation.
She urged members of the community to take ownership of the centre and utilize it at their advantage as success of the centre depends on their active participation and utilization.
Also, Senator Oluremi Tinubu announced that the Renewed Hope Initiative, under its Economic Empowerment scope will present a grant of Fifty Million Naira to the First Lady of Kwara State and RHI State Coordinator to support another set of 1,000 women petty traders with the sum of N50,000 each to recapitalize their existing businesses.
She added that Kwara State has been nominated to benefit from the construction of a model Early Childhood Care Development Education Centre while women and young farmers in the state would also benefit from the Sixty-eight point nine million naira RHI Agriculture Programme.
In her welcome address, wife of the Kwara State Governor, Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazaq commended the Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady and the National Information Technology Development Agency for the laudable initiative that would not only equip women and youths with in demand digital skills but also best positions them for the opportunities that are abound in the Nigerian and global digital space.
Ambassador AbdulRazaq explained that the milestone would continue to up the status of women, youths and other users of the facility as well as create pathways into making Nigeria a digitally empowered Nation and fostering a technology enabled equitable future for all Nigerians.
