The Kebbi State Command of the Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has organised a 2-Day sensization and awareness workshop for it personnel against job Recketering and financial fraud and its consequences.
Speaking while declaring the workshop open, Kebbi State Commandant of the Corps, Kabiru Abubakar Alkamawa, said the workshop was organised at the instance of the Commandant General of the corp’s effort to revamp, rejig, rejuvenate, resuscitate and reposition the Corps nationwide to the modern elite security outfit in line with international best practices.
He stated that, the workshop aimed at getting good riddance of any sharp practices in the Corps and restore confidence in general.
The Commandant noted that, over the years, some unscrupulous elements hide under the banner of some Ministries, Departments and Agencies to perpetrate these sharp practices, Job Recketering and financial fraud particularly to job seekers.
Abubakar Alkamawa, warned that whoever caught frowns on these illegal act under the stewardship of the present Commandant General of the Corps will be decively dealt with in line with the extant of the laws .
In a paper presentation, representatives of the EFCC heads of the North West zone, ICPC and the state Director NOA, called on the heads of NSCDC, NIS, NCS, Police and other non military offices to employ personnel with integrity during recruitment.
