The Federal Government has commended the election of Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as the first female President of Namibia.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Acting Spokesperson, in the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, in Abuja.
The statement stresses Nigeria’s readiness to collaborate with Namibia for the mutual benefit of their citizens.

The statement expresses optimism about further deepening the longstanding and vibrant relationship between the two nations during Nandi-Ndaitwah’s tenure.
“Nandi-Ndaitwah, currently serving as Vice President, achieved a historic victory in an election confirmed by the Electoral Commission of Namibia. Her win extends the dominance of the ruling SWAPO party, which has been in power since the country’s independence”.
