Comrade Sunday Celebrates President Tinubu @73
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement, Comrade Asefon Sunday has commended President Bola Tinubu on the giant strides recorded in the nation’s education sector.
This is contained in a congratulatory birthday message to the President in Abuja.
The statement says the President’s policies in the education sector is empowering young Nigerians to secure a brighter future.
“Your unwavering commitment to education is shaping the future of our nation, empowering young Nigerians, and securing a brighter tomorrow” he emphasizes.
It explains that the President’s commitment towards the sector has redefined education in Nigeria, thereby turning promises into action and dreams into reality for millions of students.
“Your leadership continues to redefine education in Nigeria, turning promises into action and dreams into reality for millions of students under your visionary leadership” Comrade Sunday states.
“The Student Loan Scheme, NELFUND, has made higher education accessible to all, Highest Budgetary Allocation to Education, a testament to your commitment to academic excellence, Establishment of New Federal Institutions, expanding opportunities with new universities in Kaduna, Ekiti, Ogun, and Rivers, plus a Polytechnic in Abuja”.
The statement notes that the removal of higher institutions from IPPIS has restored financial autonomy to higher institutions thereby stopping Industrial Actions by Academic Staff Unions and zero strikes in universities”.
“Distribution of CNG Buses for Tertiary Institutions & National Student Bodies, providing affordable and eco-friendly student transportation. Revolutionizing education through data-driven reforms, teacher training, and skill development has really boosted the education sector” he notes.
The statement commends the President for inaugurating the National Youth Confab & Nigeria Youth Academy, NIYA, in engaging and empowering Nigerian youths.
