The management of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria says Metro FM and Radio One FM studios that were recently gutted by the fire will be rebuilt to meet international standard.
Director General of FRCN, Dr. Mohammed Bulama gave the assurance when he inspected the stations and other operational areas that were gutted by the fire recently at the Broadcasting House, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Dr Bulama said that he was awaiting the technical committee report that was set up to access the extent of the damage, saying that an independent accessor would also submit report to determine the next line of action.
Dr. Mohammed Bulama who said the incident was unfortunate, noted that it would pave the way for management to speak with government to provide modern equipments and facilities that would ensure that the stations transmit effectively to serve people better.
The Director General said that the Radio One FM is fully back on air, while Metro FM will soon join from the skeletal service from Ikeja GRA.
