The Death has occured of Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, the mother of Jigawa state Governor Mallam Umar Namadi.
The Governor who is currently in China on an official assignment, expressed deep sorrow and submission to the will of Allah.
Late Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar died today in a hospital in Kano state following a protracted illness.
She is survived by two Children and eighteen grand children.
She has since been buried according to islamic rites at her hometown in Kafin Hausa local government area.
