The newly appointed Magistrate Court Judges in Bauchi State have been advised to be fair and just in their litigations and interactions with other staff.
The State’s Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar gave the advice during the induction training organized by the State Judicial Service Commission for the newly appointed Judges.
Justice Rabi Talatu represented by High Court Judge lll, Justice Muhammad Abubakar Sambo advised them to work within the ambit of the law as the positions required dedication, fairness and justice.
In a remark, the Secretary of the Commission Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma noted that in the recently the Judicial Service Commission has appointed nine Magistrate Court Judges and elevated seven lower Sharia Court Judges to upper Sharia Court to fill the gaps of those that exited the service.
“We thank the Bauchi State Government under the Leadership of Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for the financial Support towards the conduct of this Induction Training and in the future we will request for more in order to equip our Magistrates” Dr. Danjuma noted.
Dr. Danjuma explained that the induction training is aimed at providing necessary knowledge, legal ethics as well as other administrative functions for effective service delivery among the judges.
“We solicit for more support to equip the Sharia Court Judges and Judicial Staff with the necessary knowledge, skills and ethical standards for effective Judicial Service and Justice delivery within the State” He noted.
He used the medium to appreciate the critical stakeholders of the Judicial Service Commission for organizing the training and urged it to sustain.
Some of the inductees Magistrates Bintu Umar Mustapha, Sani Isa Maigari and Sadiq Muhammad Abubakar who pledged to apply the knowledge acquired in their daily litigations commended the Commission for organizing the training and requested that similar should be extended to other auxiliary staff for effective service delivery.
