At least one thousand women, youths, and other residents of Edu, Moro, and Patigi Local Government Areas of Kwara State have received empowerment items aimed at promoting self-reliance and economic growth.
The empowerment programme, held in Shonga, was implemented under the Renewed Hope initiative in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.

Speaking at the event, the member representing Edu, Moro and Patigi Federal Constituency, Ahmed Saba, said the initiative also served as a presentation of his two-year scorecard to constituents.
The lawmaker assured that he would continue to improve on his efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy to all segments of the constituency.

He noted that for decades, many communities in the area had not fully benefited from democratic governance, adding that the present administration has provided the political will and policy support needed to address long-standing challenges.
According to him, the empowerment programme is part of broader efforts to confront barriers to development and promote inclusive growth across the constituency.

The beneficiaries received working tools and food items designed to enhance livelihoods and support economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
