Rotary International District 9127, Abuja has earmarked over 150 Million Naira for empowerment and Skills acquisition tools for Health care facilities, social amenities and projects that will have direct impacts on residents within and outside Federal Capital Territory.
The New District Governor of the Rotary, Rotarian Dame Princess Joy-Okoro made this known while taking the baton of leadership of the Club for the next one year in Abuja.
Rotarian Joy-Okoro who promised to continue from where her predecessor noted that her core objectives will center on Water and Hygiene, Peace and Conflict resolution as well as Health service for vulnerable people.
“This year, we intend to commit N150million in Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus to build on that legacy with three priorities:
Finishing the Fight Against Polio, Saving Mothers and Children Through Better Healthcare, Lifting Communities Through Economic Empowerment”
The Rotary District 9127 New Governor, also pledged to ensure all inclusive policies towards promoting gender equality, equity, Transparency and accountability.

“Today marks the beginning of a new Rotary year where we unite for Good not just in words, but through bold action. As District Governor, my mission is clear: to serve with compassion, advocate relentlessly, and deliver tangible change in our focus areas” she stated.
“Rotary’s legacy is built on results. From nearly eradicating polio to empowering communities worldwide, we prove that collective action transforms lives”
On his part, the outgoing District Governor, Rotarian Mike Nwanoshiri said during his tenure, the District had increased in number and launched laudable projects including boreholes.
Rotarian Nwanoshiri however called on all Nigerians irrespective of their financial status to imbibe the habit of giving, especially for the poor and needy.
