The African Democratic Congress has opened free online membership registration across Nigeria, complementing its ongoing physical registration and revalidation exercise.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, in Abuja.
The statement says the initiative is part of efforts to build a robust membership base ahead of the 2027 general elections and upcoming party congresses.
It explains that the digital platform, available at www.adcregistration.ng ensures compliance with the Electoral Act 2026 requirement for a verified digital membership register.
According to the statement only members whose details are fully captured and verified on the digital register will be eligible to vote or contest in party primaries.
The statement stresses that since the launch of the grassroots membership exercise in February, the ADC has recorded strong interest from Nigerians across states and the diaspora.
It further explains that the online platform is intended to simplify enrolment, remove barriers to participation, and ensure secure access for all eligible citizens who wish to identify with the party.
“Existing members are required to revalidate their registration on the new platform to meet updated compliance requirements. Support groups and associations are also encouraged to register through the portal to complete the onboarding process” Mallam Bolaji states.
The statement emphasizes that the digital registration exercise does not affect its ongoing objections to certain provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 that it says favor the ruling party.
According to the statement, the ADC reaffirms its commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and citizen-driven political movement capable of delivering credible leadership and advancing a better Nigeria for all.
