The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has inaugurated a 50-member Policy and Manifesto Committee as part of preparations to reposition the party ahead of future elections.
National Chairman of the party, Senator David Mark, while inaugurating the committee in Abuja, charged members to develop clear, practical and people-centred policies that will directly improve the lives of Nigerians.
He stressed that Nigerians expect measurable results, not rhetoric, and called for policy proposals that address insecurity, transportation, education, job creation and support for small businesses.
Senator Mark also urged the committee to consider measures that would strengthen access to quality education and internal party democracy, warning against undue influence by any individual within the party.
The committee is chaired by former Edo State Governor, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who described the assignment as historic.
In his remarks, Odigie-Oyegun pledged that the committee would produce a simple, clear and practical manifesto capable of restoring public trust and offering workable solutions to challenges in key sectors such as power, transport and security.
The ADC leadership says the goal is to present a credible alternative anchored on performance and service delivery.
