The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr. Ikioye Orutugu, has assured residents that adequate security measures are in place as business and social activities resume tomorrow.
Mr. Orutugu gave the assurance during an emergency security meeting with Area and Tactical Commanders at the Police Headquarters in Awka.
He directed intensified patrols, surveillance, and proactive policing to prevent any threat to lives and property.
He urged residents to remain calm, law-abiding, and vigilant, and to ignore unverified social media reports.
Suspicious activities should be reported to the nearest police formation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, reiterated the command’s commitment to maintaining peace and public safety for all residents and visitors in the state.
