The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is well positioned to secure victory in the 2027 general election.
Speaking in Abuja at the APC North-West Youth Mobilisation Meet-and-Greet programme, Professor Yilwatda said growing youth support, policy implementation, party expansion and data-driven mobilisation are strengthening the President’s chances.
He noted that young Nigerians now form the backbone of the ruling party, with a significant percentage of APC members nationwide falling within the 18 to 49 age bracket. According to him, this demographic shift reflects renewed confidence in the Tinubu administration.
The APC chairman attributed rising public support to key social and economic policies, including the student loan scheme, monthly stipends for students, expanded health insurance coverage and digital cash transfers to millions of households.
Professor Yilwatda also said the party’s new electronic registration system would improve grassroots engagement and help the APC mobilise effectively ahead of future elections.
He urged party members and political appointees to remain loyal, stressing that President Tinubu and the APC remain the party’s strongest assets.
Also speaking at the event, the Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, said President Tinubu’s inclusive leadership and commitment to infrastructure development would earn him widespread support in 2027.
Other speakers, including the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and presidential aides, called on party members to effectively communicate government achievements and maintain unity.
The event ended with the presentation of awards to outstanding youth members in recognition of their contributions to party mobilisation and development.
