The All Progressives Congress, APC, has inaugurated a high-level Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilisation as part of efforts to strengthen internal cohesion and reposition the party ahead of future political engagements.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, joined other top party leaders at the committee’s inaugural meeting.
The committee is chaired by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and is made up of serving governors, former governors, senior lawmakers, and ministers drawn from across the country.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Buni said the committee was set up to promote unity, address grievances within the party, and adopt strategic engagements that would give all members a renewed sense of belonging.
He explained that the committee would also work proactively to resolve emerging disputes and prevent internal divisions that could weaken the party.
According to him, personal interests must not be allowed to override the collective goal of building a stronger and more united APC.
The development comes as the ruling party intensifies efforts to consolidate its structures nationwide and strengthen internal stability ahead of future elections.
