The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has inducted several top media and government officials as associate members at a ceremony held in Abuja.
Among those inducted are President Bola Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman; Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Malam Ali Mohammed Ali; Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Mohammed Bulama; and Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Charles Ebuebu.
Speaking at the event, Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, said the induction aligns with professional standards requiring practitioners to formally join and take the oath of membership.
He urged the new members to serve as ambassadors of the advertising profession.
The Managing Director of NAN described the induction as a milestone in his media career, noting that it strengthens his professional standing in advertising practice.
ARCON, established in 2022, regulates advertising practice in Nigeria, safeguards consumer interests, and promotes compliance with global best standards.
