The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has commenced inspection of facilities in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as preparations intensify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
A team of CAF technical experts is assessing match venues and training facilities in the three host nations to ensure compliance with the competition’s standards.
The inspections, which will run until Tuesday, February 17, cover pitch quality, safety and security measures, as well as overall infrastructure readiness.
The tour began in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with additional visits scheduled for Arusha and Zanzibar.
In Kenya, the delegation will inspect Kasarani Stadium, Nyayo Stadium, Talanta Sports Stadium, and training venues including the Ulinzi Sports Complex and the Kenya Academy of Sports.
In Uganda, the team will assess facilities in Entebbe, Kampala and Hoima, including the Mandela National Stadium and Hoima City Stadium.
CAF says the exercise forms part of efforts to uphold world-class delivery standards and further strengthen AFCON’s profile among top global football tournaments.
