An Ikeja High Court has granted permission for court processes to be served electronically on social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, and Kelvin Emmanuel.
The order was given in a suit filed by Nigerian pastor, Dr. Chris Okafor, against Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and the two other defendants.
Justice Akintunde Savage allowed the first defendant to serve the second and third defendants through their verified WhatsApp, Instagram and other active social media accounts, following their absence in court.
The judge directed that proof of service must be confirmed and adjourned the case to February 25 for hearing of preliminary objections.
Earlier, the court had issued an interim order restraining the defendants from making further references to Dr. Okafor, his church, Grace Nation International, or publishing any alleged private materials related to him, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
The matter continues later this month.
