The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the trial of former Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, to April 30.
The matter, scheduled before Justice Mohammed Umar, could not proceed due to the judge’s absence on official assignment.
The court subsequently fixed a new date for continuation of proceedings.
Ojerinde is being prosecuted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on charges bordering on alleged official corruption and abuse of office.
He is standing trial alongside four of his children and six companies said to be linked to him.
The former examination body chief is also facing a separate 18-count charge over alleged diversion of funds during his tenure at both JAMB and the National Examinations Council, in a related case before another Federal High Court in Abuja.
Proceedings in that matter are scheduled to continue on March 25.
