The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Amanda Azubuike on her promotion to Brigadier General in the United States Army.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Dabiri-Erewa describes the achievement as a testament to Azubuike’s dedication, resilience, and exceptional service.
According to the statement, Dabiri-Erewa hails Azubuike’s promotion as a significant milestone, stating that it not only breaks barriers but also showcases the contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora.
The statement urges Nigerians worldwide to draw inspiration from Azubuike’s success and strive for excellence in their respective fields.
It says Azubuike, born in London to a Nigerian father and a Zimbabwean mother, joined the U.S. Army in 1994 and trained as an aviator.
The statement explains that She has served in various leadership roles, including as a platoon leader, flight operations officer, and public affairs officer. She currently serves as Deputy Commanding Officer at the U.S. Army Cadet Command.
