Pioneer members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State have raised concerns over their exclusion from party decision-making and government appointments.
The Delta North Coalition for Equity (DNCE), speaking at a meeting in Agbor, urged the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to integrate long-standing members into governance and party affairs.
The group emphasized that recognition of founding members is essential for party unity, sustainable growth, and effective governance.
They called for fair representation in party structures, including ward, local government, and state positions, ahead of the 2027 elections.
Coalition leaders stressed that their appeal is motivated by loyalty and a desire for inclusiveness, warning that marginalization could weaken party cohesion.
They pledged continued support for Governor Oborevwori and President Bola Tinubu while urging timely action to address their concerns.
