The National Working Committee, NWC of the peoples Democratic party, PDP has instructed the party’s National legal adviser to put machineries in place to recover what it described as its stolen mandate in Delta state.
Speaking to journalists at the end of an emergency NWC meeting in Abuja, the PDP acting national chairman Ambassador Umar Damagun expressed sadness over the Development insisting that PDP remained a viable brand.
He said the 2027 political battle would be between Nigerians and the APC claiming that the country had been badly managed under the current administration.
The national leadership of the PDP therefore instructed the South-South Zonal caretaker executive, led by Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi, to oversee the party’s activities in Delta State until a new caretaker committee is put in place.
The Delta state Governor, his entire cabinet, and top politicians in the state , including his predecessor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday defected from the PDP to the all Progressives Congress APC.
