Troops from the 22 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army, with strong support from the Office of the National Security Adviser, have successfully cleared Garin Dandi, a known bandit enclave in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, as part of the ongoing Operation Igbo Danu (Operation Forest Flush).
In a statement by Captain Maureen Ogbuka, on behalf of the Acting Deputy Director of 2 Division Army Public Relations, the coordinated offensive operations targeted terrorist elements within the Joint Operations Area (JOA), leading to significant victories.

The operation led to the neutralization of one terrorist, while others fled with suspected gunshot wounds.
Additionally, the troops successfully raided previously inaccessible camps, destroying abandoned camps and vital logistics, weakening the terrorists’ ability to sustain their activities.
The Nigerian Army has called on the public to continue providing credible information on bandits and their collaborators to help enhance the ongoing efforts to tackle terrorism in and outside Kwara State.
