Former Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, has alleged that she faced intense personal and professional attacks during her tenure for refusing to compromise on transparency in job placements.
Dr. Dankaka stated this during a homecoming reception organised in her honour by the Kwara South Consultative Youth Forum in Ilorin.

She said her decision not to allow the sale of employment slots made her a target of sustained criticism and opposition.
She maintained that her tenure was guided by integrity and strict adherence to due process, adding that she derived fulfilment from completing her assignment without compromising established standards.
Dr. Dankaka further expressed concern over what she described as the challenges faced by public officials who resist corrupt practices, noting that such individuals are often subjected to misrepresentation and undue pressure.
Addressing youths at the event, she encouraged them to embrace entrepreneurship and self-reliance rather than depending solely on government jobs, urging them to contribute positively to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
President of the Kwara South Consultative Youth Forum, Comrade Gabriel Omoniyi, said the event was organised to celebrate Dr. Dankaka’s service and contributions to national development, describing her tenure as impactful.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a framed portrait to the former FCC Chair as a mark of appreciation for her service to the nation and her home region.
