The Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, has shared a total of one trillion, nine hundred and sixty-nine billion naira as December 2025 revenue to the Federal Government, states and Local Government Councils.
The allocation was announced at the January FAAC meeting and contained in a communiqué issued by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
According to the breakdown, the Federal Government received six hundred and fifty-three point five billion naira, the states got seven hundred and six point four six nine billion naira, while Local Government Councils received five hundred and thirteen point two seven two billion naira.
An additional ninety-six point zero eight three billion naira, representing thirteen per cent derivation, was allocated to oil-producing states.
The total distributable revenue comprised statutory revenue, Value Added Tax and Electronic Money Transfer Levy.
FAAC noted that while VAT, Companies Income Tax and Import Duty recorded significant increases in December, revenues from Petroleum Profit Tax, Excise Duty and EMTL declined.
The committee also reported that gross revenue for December stood at over two point five trillion naira, after deductions for cost of collection, transfers and other obligations.
