The Central Planning Committee, CPC, of the Federal Government College Warri says all is set for the celebration of its Diamond Jubilee.
This is contained in a communique jointly signed by the Chairperson of the Central Planning Committee, Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okauru and Secretary Esosa Igbineweka in Abuja.
According to the communique, the committee pledges to deliver a successful and memorable Diamond Jubilee celebration that will highlight the importance of collaboration among members of Federal Government College Warri Old Students Association (FEGOCOWOSA) worldwide and other stakeholders to foster growth and development of Federal Government College Warri.
It states that robust communication platforms will be set up and heavily utilized for effective coordination, collaboration and communication for the anniversary
According to the communique, the Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be staged in three major phases to lead into the anniversary date so as to allow for inclusive participation by members, friends, and well-wishers across the country and the globe.
It explains that it will commence with a public lecture, outreach programmes covering health and education, a reunion gala, and a dinner fundraising in Lagos in October 2025.
The communique further stresses that there will be public lectures, fundraising, outreach programmes covering health and education, networking events, recognition of distinguished alumni including advocacy for educational development and reforms in Abuja in January 2026.
Also, the Annual General Congress of FEGOCOWOSA earlier approved for Abuja would be designed to fit into the Abuja event.
The Grand Finale which is the high point of the Diamond Jubilee is to be hosted in Warri the historic home of the school in February 2026. It will feature Thanksgiving, award ceremonies, road carnival, sporting activities, school development projects commissioning and a celebratory dinner/party.
The CPC encourages all alumni, stakeholders and friends of Federal Government College Warri to rally together in unity, pride and generosity, to make the 60th Anniversary a fitting tribute to the shared heritage and lasting investment in the future of Federal Government College Warri.

The meeting was attended by the Chairperson, Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui Okauru, MFR, a seasoned administrator, Chartered Accountant and former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the Global President of FEGOCOWOSA, Dr. Godwin Amobi Alo, FNMGS and several members of the committee.
Federal Government College, Warri is a foremost unity school of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, established in February 1966 renowned for academic excellence, discipline and the nurturing of leaders across all walks of life.
