Normalcy has returned to Aminu Kano International Airport after a Max Air aircraft made a sudden landing due to a burst tire during landing.
Sources at the airport revealed that all passengers were evacuated safely, and the aircraft was removed from the tarmac at around 4:00 am on Wednesday.
Flights operations have since resumed fully at the airport, with business activities also returning to normal.
Passengers at the airport expressed their relief and happiness over the safe evacuation of those onboard during the incident.
“We are grateful that no one was hurt,” said one passenger. “But we appeal to the authorities to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
The incident has raised concerns about aviation safety, and authorities have been called upon to investigate the cause of the tire burst and take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
For now, passengers and airport users can breathe a sigh of relief as normalcy has been restored at the airport.
Efforts to speak with the management of Max Air in Kano, proved abortive.
