Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved a fresh round of appointments and promotions aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across key sectors.
The approvals were disclosed in a statement by the Director-General of Media and Publicity, Government House, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Among the appointments, Abdulkadir Balarabe Kankarofi has been named Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs, while Hajia Aisha Tamburawa is appointed Special Adviser on Positive Propaganda.
Mukhtar Yusuf has been promoted to Managing Director of the Water Resources Engineering, and Zakari Usman Balan becomes Deputy Managing Director of the agency.
Dr. Mukhtar Bello Maisudan, a senior lecturer at Bayero University, Kano, was appointed Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.
Abba Kankarofi has been promoted to Managing Director of the Kano Road and Maintenance Agency (KARMA), while Musayyib Kawu Ungoggo is now Managing Director of the Kano Zoological Garden.
Governor Yusuf charged the newly appointed and promoted officials to justify the confidence placed in them through dedication, transparency, and commitment to the people of Kano State.
He reaffirmed that his administration remains focused on strengthening institutions and delivering people-oriented governance in line with the Kano First Agenda.
The appointments and promotions are part of ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across government institutions in Kano State.
