The Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria, a training arm of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, says it will intensify capacity building for government officials as part of efforts to curb corruption across the country.

The Director of Administration of the Academy, Mr. Clement Obaneyi, stated this during a courtesy visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Mr. Obaneyi explained that the Academy focuses on training and research to strengthen corruption prevention mechanisms in public institutions.
He commended the Nasarawa State Government for providing land for the establishment of the Academy and encouraged the state to sponsor its officials for training programmes, noting that other states have already taken advantage of the initiative.

Responding, Governor Abdullahi Sule appreciated the ICPC team for its efforts in combating corruption and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to promoting transparency and accountability.
He stressed that building an incorruptible society requires discipline among public office holders and continuous training.
