The National Youth Service Corps members serving in Imo state have been enjoined to integrate and impact meaningful to their host communities through the community development service of the scheme.
The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Rachel Idaewor gave the charge at the end of Orientation held for “2024 Batch C Stream Two” Corps members at Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre local government area of the state.
She urged them to maintain the discipline, loyalty, resourcefulness and other laudable virtues they have imbibed in the course of the orientation exercise to actualize the goal of the scheme.
Mrs Idaewor advised them to pay attention to Post-Camp Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training acquired during the orientation noting that the programme was designed to help reduce unemployment among the youths.
The State Coordinator expressed gratitude to the Imo State Government and other stakeholders for creating enabling environment for the success of the orientation course and called on the Corps members to adhere strictly to the rules guiding the scheme.
