The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has shortlisted 924 Computer Based Test centres across Nigeria ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, stated that the centres will undergo a final test before full accreditation to ensure smooth registration and examination processes.
He also urged state education commissioners to support public sensitisation and measures to curb examination malpractice.
The 2026 UTME registration for mock and regular candidates begins on January 26 and closes February 28, while Direct Entry registration opens March 2 and ends April 25.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, although exceptional underage candidates may be considered under strict evaluation.
Prof. Oloyede warned that candidates involved in malpractice, including identity manipulation and double registration, will be disqualified from the examination and admission process.
