The Executive Chairman of Jema’a Local Government, Peter Dogara has flagged off the distribution of rice and cash to people in the area as part of Ramadan and Lenten Packages.
Speaking during the exercise at the Council Secretariat in kafanchan, Mr. Dogara explained that the initiative was part of Governor Uba Sani’s effort to alleviate the economic hardship faced by citizens during the Ramadan and Lenten period.
Honorable Dogara described the initiative as a testament to Governor Uba Sani’s commitment toward fostering community spirit and social cohesion within the local government and the state in general.
He emphasized the importance of supporting both Muslim and Christian communities during these significant religious periods, saying that would encourage interfaith dialogue as well as tolerance and understanding.
The Executive Chairman called for increased collaboration toward supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, as well as the local government and ward initiatives for inclusive National growth.
