As part of its efforts to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable waste management practices, the Kano state Government has prohibited the dumping of waste at the Court Road Site.
This decision aims to prevent the spread of diseases and protect the health and safety of residents and passersby.
During a visit to the site, State Commissioner of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Dahiru Hashim, expressed concerns about the environmental and health implications of improper waste disposal.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to effective waste management strategies to protect public health and the environment.
Dr. Hashim directed the immediate evacuation of accumulated waste from the area and advised residents to dispose of their waste at the designated site in Sallari.
He appealed to the public to cooperate with the government’s efforts, citing the importance of protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.
