The Kano State House of Assembly has cleared Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu as a commissioner nominee and member of the State Executive Council.
During the screening, the commissioner nominee, Adamu emphasized the importance of maintaining the master plan for cities and rural communities.
He also promised to give his best in discharging his responsibilities as assigned by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Adamu, who previously served as the Managing Director of Kano State Urban Planning Development Authority, KNUPDA, expressed his gratitude to the assembly during the plenary session.
The Speaker of the House, Jibril Ismail Falgore, urged Adamu to build upon his track record at KNUPDA and wished him well in his new role.
Adamu’s nomination was in line with Governor Yusuf’s constitutional power to appoint members of the state executive council.
