According to him the achievement belongs to the entire state emphasizing that It is the result of the hard work of the communities, the WASH institutions and all partners who stood with the state throughout the journey.
He explained that the state’s WASH policy under the Dikko Agenda played a central role in driving the reforms that led to the certification.

“Our success would not have been possible without the dedication of our WASH coordinators in every local government, the support of council chairmen, and the technical guidance from the Federal Ministry of Water Resources” he added,

The Commissioner pledged that Katsina will continue to consolidate its gains and serve as a model for other states working toward ODF certification.
