The Kebbi State Government has called on residents to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a warm and befitting welcome during his visit to the state on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
In a statement, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Malam Yahaya Sarki, said the President’s visit will include the commissioning of major projects executed by the administration of Governor Nasir Idris, as well as attendance at the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed, urged citizens to cooperate with security measures, exhibit peace, and showcase Kebbi State’s renowned hospitality to national and international guests.
Projects slated for commissioning include the Bola Ahmed Tinubu State Secretariat Complex, the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park, newly constructed township roads, and the Argungu dual carriageway.
Residents were informed that some roads in Birnin Kebbi and Argungu will be temporarily closed to facilitate presidential movements in line with security protocols.
The state government stressed the importance of law-abiding and courteous conduct to project a positive image of Kebbi State during the high-profile visit.
