The Kebbi State Police Command has neutralized a suspected armed bandit and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in Bagudo Local Government Area.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, said operatives of the Special Tactical Squad intercepted an unregistered motorcycle carrying two suspects during a routine patrol.
When challenged, the suspects opened fire, prompting police to respond in self-defence, neutralizing one suspect, while the second escaped with gunshot injuries.

Recovered items include 586 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, three magazines, a camouflage uniform, a military-style bag, two mobile phones, cash of over four hundred thousand naira, and the unregistered motorcycle used by the suspects.
Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Mohammed Hadeija, assured the public of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, urging citizens to continue providing timely and credible information to support ongoing security operations.
