The Kwara State House of Assembly has passed a budget of six hundred and fifty-six point five billion naira for the 2026 fiscal year.
The approval followed the presentation and adoption of the report of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation during plenary presided over by the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi Salihu.
Chairman of the Committee, Arinola Fatimoh Lawal, laid the report before the House, paving the way for the passage of the appropriation bill.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had earlier presented a proposed budget of six hundred and forty-six billion naira in December 2025.
The approved figure represents an increase of over ten point five billion naira from the initial proposal.
