Mrs. Foluke Osafile, representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency-01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has defected from the Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress.
Osafile, who is also Chairman of the House Committee on Wealth Creation, says the move was aimed at better serving her constituents and advancing good governance.
Elected in 2023 on the Labour Party platform, Osafile overcame legal challenges from the All Progressives Congress before reclaiming her seat at the Court of Appeal.
She is expected to formally announce her defection during Assembly plenary in the coming days.
Osafile pledged her continued commitment to representing her constituents and strengthening democratic institutions through her new party.
