The Nigeria Mining Cadastre Office, MCO, has honoured six retirees for their tireless contributions in promoting the office’s mandate and showcasing a culture of achieving excellence.
The Director General of MCO, Mr. Obadiah Simon Nkom, while presenting the award at the send forth/appreciation award program organized by the office, held at the MCO conference in Abuja, commended their dedication and service to the office.
Nkom acknowledged the retirees and the former Director, Finance and Account’s for their contributions toward the growth and development of the agency.
He highlighted their commitments to efficiency, dedication, proactiveness and professionalism in service delivery to the Agency.
The DG emphasized the significance of their legacy, noting that their work has a lasting impact in the Agency and wished the retirees a happy and fulfilling retirement as he expressed confidence that their experience and expertise would continue to make a mark in the office.
He used the occasion to state his support towards them as though, they have retired but they are still part of the MCO family as their services would still be needed when called upon.
Responding on behalf of the Retirees, Mr Abraham Oloruntoba appreciated the entire staff for honoring them and expressed gratitude towards the Director General for his kindness and unwavering support during their years in service with Agency,
Also, the Director Finance and Account of the Ministry of works, Mr. Jacob Olufemi Ayinshola who served as the DFA with the Agency, during his vote of thanks appreciated and acknowledged the Director General for his continues doggedness and enthusiasm towards making MCO moving forward.
Mr. Ayinshola recounted how the Director General encourage him toward his promotion exams and presently it has paid off.
He praised the retirees for their steadfastness during their time in service, adding that despite been retired, they still have roles to play to their families and society as God will continue to keep them alive in good health.
