The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu says the future of the country depends on people like Ugwumba Uche Nwosu in nation building.
Kalu stated this at the 50th birthday celebration of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu with the theme “50 Seeds of influence-A legacy Still Growing” in Abuja.
He added that Nwosu is one of the strong men in the southeast with great attributes of leadership and Nigeria needs people like him.
“He is doing well already, at fifty he has achieved a lot but I know the task is still ahead. He has the attributes of great leadership and my generation is looking for people like him to play a significant role in our nation building efforts” Kalu emphasized.
“I always like coming to celebrate with my generation because truly the tomorrow of Nigeria depends on people like this with credibility, decency and integrity, especially coming from my zone the southeast, we are rallying around each other to strengthen each other in our various careers” the Deputy Speaker stressed.
“He is one of the strong men in the southeast. I wish him long life and prosperity in good health” Kalu added.

The deputy speaker described the celebrant as a peace loving fellow whose wealth of experience has brought alot of significant changes in the public, private sectors and beyond worthy of emulation.
On her part, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu described the celebrant as a man of peace and the dream of the people.
Bianca Ojukwu described Ugwumba Nwosu as an extraordinary human being, ideologically, consistent and always there for his friends and subordinates come rain or sunshine who has contributed immensely towards peace building
On his part, the former Governor of Imo state and also the father in-law to the celebrant described Ugwumba Nwosu as a rising star from the south east been a sun that must rise one day because of his hardwork, Vision, dedication and humility, adding that he wasn’t surprised because those were the attributes he has seen in him many years ago
In an interview while thanking God for attaining this feat, the celebrant who was the former Chief of Staff to the Imo State government, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu said it has been fifty years from grass to grace adding that his life is for Nigerian youths and he will continue to support them.

“I want to thank God for my life, for the blessings of God. It is fifty years of grass to grace and a fifty years of service to humanity” Nwosu stated.
“I will keep supporting Nigerian youths. I said to myself, if God blesses me, I will use it for humanity, especially the youths in Nigeria”
“I was in the streets, I know what it means to sleep and wake up without food. My life is made for the young ones and once I have it, I will dedicate it to the young people and the youths in Nigeria” Ugwumba Nwosu emphasized.
Ugwumba Nwosu advised Nigerian youths to always believe in themselves, adding that their destiny is in their hands,
“Don’t wait for anybody, don’t be ashamed of what you do for a living, if you are someone that is doing sachet water do it well, barber, do it well, above all remember your destiny in your hands and I want them to drive it to their destination.”
Ugwumba Nwosu who has significantly contributed immensely to youth empowerment programs through his Non-Governmental Organization NGO, especially the less privileged urged Nigerian youths not to give up on themselves hence embrace resilience, peace, patience and focus in their daily endeavors for excellence
Nwosu, however, called on the youth and all well-meaning Nigerians not to relent in their legitimate sources of income and shun every form of anti-social vices capable of disrupting the peace and development of the country.
Highlights of the event were the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant and family anchored by the former Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Malaye, cultural displays and goodwill messages from the former President of the Senate Ayim Pius Ayim, Ken Nnaman, past Governors among others
Dignitaries at the ceremony include the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi, former Senate presidents Ken Nnamani, Anyim Pius Anyim, Senator Dino Melaye, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as E-Money, former governor of imo State and his wife Rochas Okorocha, former governor, National Assembly member, and others.
