The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has expressed shock over the demise of Nigeria’s ex-president, Muhammadu Buhari, who died in London during a brief illness at the age of 82.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Ladipo Johnson in Abuja.
The statement says the nation has lost a dignified and purposeful leader.
Reflecting on the two eras when the late former leader was at the helm of affairs, the statement affirms his sterling qualities as a modest, disciplined and patriotic leader.
It also describes late Buhari as an exemplified modest and a “born-again” democrat who did his best as a civilian president.
