The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, NTAC, has partnered with the Diplomatic Correspondents Association of Nigeria, DICAN, to enhance the implementation of the Federal Government’s 4Ds foreign policy doctrine.
The policy, driven by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, focuses on Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora as key pillars of Nigeria’s engagement with the international community.
Receiving a delegation from DICAN, led by its Chairman Mr. Idehai Frederick in Abuja, NTAC’s Director-General, Dr. Yusuf Buba Yakub, reiterated the agency’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s global image.
He highlighted NTAC’s role in exporting technical expertise to 35 African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries, emphasizing its contribution to grooming leaders, including cabinet ministers, and impacting millions of lives abroad.
He assured DICAN of NTAC’s willingness to collaborate for the country’s benefit.
In his remarks, the Chairman Diplomatic Correspondent Association DICAN, Mr. Idehai Frederick said the visit was aimed at exploring areas of partnership to support NTAC’s mandate in line with the 4Ds policy.
He described DICAN as a strategic association comprising journalists and editors covering Nigeria’s diplomatic affairs, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies, and high commissions.
He further noted that DICAN is a duly registered body under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), making it a credible partner for NTAC and other institutions.
